I've been doing a little inking on the side, trying to get my skills up. I'm starting to feel more comfortable, but I have a long way to go. My Raphael 8404 brush came in the mail a couple of days ago, and this is the first run with it. I'm in love. It's like those brush hairs have ballbearings in them. More so than the end result, that brush is just a lot of fun to ink with. Just makes you want to do art all day with it. This pic was an excuse to exercise with that wonderful weapon of inkism. Credit to Joe Weems for putting me on to it, and he credits Scott Williams for putting him on.

Character: This is Glorianna Silver, from Top Cow's Pandora's Box miniseries written by Bryan Hill and Rob Levin. It's a really good series. You guys should pick it up. It's a rare instance of high action in comics with a lot of shooting, car chases and dramatic characters gettin' up in each others' faces.

Tools: Raphael 8404 #1 Brush for most of it. Touch ups with micron and Windsor Newton 00. C2 and C3 Copic Marker. Hair color added in PS.

Wrapping up Magdalena issue 4 soon. Lots going on in this issue, should be a good one!

This is GREAT Nelson! I like to ink w/ a brush pen. I havent used an actual brush in years but when I was first learning a Raphael waswhat I used. I wish you continued success in your inking endevours.

Looks good, man! Like the detail. Inking's just one of those things you have to do over and over until you stop overthinking and get comfortable with it.
